On this weeks Pirate Breakfast show, broadcast 18th August 2020, we featured three new releases;

    Living in a time where the values of humanity seem to be vanishing into a wave of confusing media of fear, LCO (Aka Juan Laya & Jorge Montiel) in collaboration with singer: Heidi Vogel come up with a message of hope, respect, soul togetherness, peace and love for all humanity as one.

    As Marvin Gaye did Inner City Blues on the times of the human rights, LCO delivers today’s message as a grain of sand to contribute into the re-construction of a better world for all of us and generations to come.

    A big Motown sound with a modern Soul twist that captures the mood of the times yesterday, today & tomorrow.

    The very talented singer/songwriter Heidi Vogel has opened for the likes of Erykah Badu, performed at Montreux Jazz festival for Quincy Jones.

    She has also performed/recorded with: Isaac Hayes, Bobby Mcferrin & The Cinematic Orchestra & now with Los Charly’s Orchestra on this timeless track that defines and era.

    Music is a great healer and certainly the best the cure for the soul.

  • Piers from Sweet Crisis here, and firstly thanks for supporting and playing out our records in the past, means a lot! Attached is our new cover single and information on it, all dedicated to the late Peter Green.

    So sad to have lost one of the greats, Peter Green (from the original Fleetwood Mac). His songwriting and guitar playing is a true inspiration to us, and one of our biggest influences growing up. We had the privilege to record one of our favourite songs in tribute to the great man.

    Oh Well’ comes out this week!!

    One amazing story we have about Peter is a few years ago, we were very Lucky to play one of the Classic Rock after-show partys, and during our early evening soundcheck our manager noticed a man stood at the back, bopping his head andwatching us play. Later we found out it was Peter Green. Our manager later met Peter and he mentioned that he really enjoyed watching us and thought the guitar player “was very good!”! Piers’ head nearly exploded!

    Leo says Peter Green was GOD. “I was completely blown away by his amazing guitar work and beautiful soul blues vocals. Lyrics like’ I wish I’d never been born at all’ tell such an honest story, and most of the melodies I tend to sing come from blues and soul he was the pioneer of his generation”

    Piers continues “I was learning to play the guitar when I first heard Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac. He, Kossoff and Gilmour are definitely my biggest guitar inspirations. I didn’t even realise until I started to write songs how much Peter influenced me! I would play a lick, and be like, ‘that’s very cool, then go, ah that’s why, it’s one of it’s Peter Green’s!’ I hope we’ve paid him homage with this cover.”
